Global humanitarian organization, Free Wheelchair Mission, brings its “1 Million for 1 Million” campaign to Denver this Thursday in celebration of giving out one million wheelchairs to people in need around the world.

The event, held at Belong Church, will feature the soon-to-be unveiled PBS Visionaries documentary that chronicles the organization through its 16-year journey to bring mobility solutions to the developing world. Narrated by Law & Order’s Sam Waterson, footage will include the dramatic and emotional delivery of the millionth wheelchair to a 12-year-old girl in Peru. Free Wheelchair Mission manufactures and distributes wheelchairs for people in the developing world in desperate need of mobility. Often these people are left to crawl on the ground, unable to go to school or work. Free Wheelchair Mission gives the chairs out for free with the tremendous support of its donors all around the US.

Some its strongest support comes from Denver, where residents, including patrons of Belong Church and Trinity United Methodist, have helped raise over $167,891 or 2,519 wheelchairs.

Free Wheelchair Mission cordially invites you to attend and experience the road to helping one million people regain their mobility.
